Blitz poll

What do You mean by contemporary Kazakh ART?
  • I am afraid that on this issue, I will not be able to give an objective and detailed response for some reason: being here, we just do not have information about what is going on in the art world of today's Kazakhstan as well as due to the geographical remoteness from cultural centers of the country, where the art and, in particular, artists could develop. To have an idea about the status and development of the arts, you must see them from the inside, or at least be in the vicinity. And given the breadth and ambiguity of the problem, everything gets more complicated – i.e. superficial and incompetent opinion is likely to give a distorted picture. Besides, in Kazakhstan the media rarely covers artistic events, professional level. Of few material that had a chance to see, we get the impression of an insufficiently high professional and technical level of execution of works of art by contemporary authors. However, it is a General trend, since, apparently, painting is increasingly on the side of "show business" and "fashionable". Thus, as a direct result, she loses in quality. And often we see the situation, voiced by Salvador Dali: "If you are a mediocrity, do not climb over backwards trying to paint as worse - still, you will see that you mediocrity". Although sometimes there are also interesting and technical work. It is obvious that contemporary art is a phenomenon is very diverse, multifaceted and voluminous. And the artist in a particular city (and the Studio) are just not able to see the big picture. And analysis of this phenomenon – rather the prerogative of the critics than the artists themselves. Direct responsibility second to DO, and to be professional, sincere and honest. The first priority is to analyze trends, directions and actual product. The approach here is the same as the critic is also obliged to be professional, honest and sincere.
What style work for yourself?
  • It so happens that I work in quite a wide genre range from the abstract and irrelevance to classical realism. Lately I have somewhat narrowed their work to two main areas – 1) realistic landscape in the traditions of Russian landscape school, 2) abstract-realisticheskoi building most closely associated with surrealism. (With a known degree of uncertainty and conditionality, I call it "associative" in the art). Perhaps you saw my work, you will have a different opinion, and it also has a right to be.

Tell us about your creative journey.
  • I think that my "creative way" is simple and unpretentious – studied and worked, working, continuing to learn.
Tell us about your style.
  • Continuing the paragraph "styles", you can add that in my works I try to combine shapes and images that do not overlap in reality (which is the basis of the concept of surrealism), i.e. a mixture of abstraction and realism, a specific recognizable shapes and forms associative, abstracted from reality; the movement of spaces, the plastic transformation of objects and volumes. Is an organic combination of real and irrational fiction; subject-figurative and abstract-spatial. This penetration of creative imagination beyond the obvious and logical; kind of look "behind the scenes" as usual-reasonable. Think unpredictable combining recognizable and abstract, concrete form and vanishing illusions and fleeting visions on the canvas creates other intricate reality, sometimes in contact with the true, and sometimes completely separated from it. And this is the output in the other imagery and the visual world in a different semantic space. In a sense, it creates mystery and Enigma, light and graceful mysticism which makes the work a multidimensional-associative. While I strive for technical perfection and "madeness" of the work, both in General and in detail, working on the subtle nuances of shape and color. And in General, to explain the painting is the same as talking about music or dancing about architecture... you put your style in a certain and appropriate term, I do not presume it would mean "take away the bread" from the critics ...
When I realized that this vocation?
  • ...Honestly, I still don't realize... Just from childhood he loved to draw, took interest in many things, but in the end the passion for art prevailed, and then had to work hard and improve. (Here involuntarily come to mind the famous words of a classic that we don't choose the calling, it... However, it had not reported. So I'm in the "misunderstanding"...)
Tell us about Your achievements in the past year.
  • In this extremely Northern and extremely harsh economic conditions, incomprehensible and extremely miraculously managed to survive. (The fact that the level of demand for the products of my labor in our latitudes tends to zero... unfortunately, this is an objective reality).
Your creative plans for the near future. (What are you working currently?)
  • All of my creative plans can be reduced to one simple formula – to continue to work whenever possible, and try to say something new in contemporary art.
Which of world-famous artists, You, without exaggeration can be called a genius?
  • All REAL MASTERS of the past, located in the world collection of paintings. Well, the first who comes to mind for me – M. Vrubel and S. Daly (second – degree "schizophrenic" ideas – in whatever sense, of course).
What is a work of art truly consider a masterpiece?
  • A simple answer to this question is not possible... many masterpieces of many artists, which I absolutely love, and to allocate one piece very difficult. And it is important to understand that art is not WHAT, but HOW!!! Then the task with "the masterpiece" is becoming even more complicated..! In General, as they say, in awe of the art, the main thing – do not hit your head!
What has influenced Your "handwriting"?
  • Of course, at different stages of my development as an artist, there were many different circumstances that affect my vision and understanding of "pictures" from the simple imitation of the work of teachers and the masterpieces of painting, to the realization that most fits my figurative sculptural ideas, and the attempt of structuring in the future of its style. To put it simply, the goals of surrealism, of course, was present, but at the same time wanted to avoid direct impact and slide to follow. That is, to stay within the genre, but to say something, and their own way.
Which of your works you can call your favorite?
  • Again, as the saying goes, "favorite" hasn't been written yet... I Think it should be, otherwise there is a risk to stay in the creative development. As with any author there are more and less successful works (in my author's subjective opinion), but one favorite yet... besides and evaluation of their work over time, of course, is changing.
What do You think about the development of art-art in Kazakhstan?
  • Immediately, what comes to mind is the wise saying of Confucius: "Be as it is and not otherwise." I am sure that the development of art depends first of all from the artist – from his thinking and skills. Secondly, how would Mercantile as it may sound, from material assistance and support of the Creator. (Believe me, being in need, it is very difficult to develop in the works...) And directives, appeals and slogans of the "development of art" does not change. I think that work needs to be highly professional and interesting – this will be the development.
With celebrities (ranging from actors to politicians), You would like to organize a joint ART project?
  • For me, this is about "category...and is there life on Mars?". My trouble is that I, as they say, "not a party"... And I, respectively, similar issues even in the head does not come. (I don't even really know what that is..? As you imagine..? How to link to the "ART project" painting "actors-politicians"..?) Perhaps the answer could be another counter-same question: what one of the "celebrities" would like to invite me to your project?! While proposals have been received... yeah.
Among connoisseurs of Your work and more young people or Mature people? Who is your audience?
  • Experience shows that the age of positioning the viewer to be. Actually, to be creative, I always take seriously, though the work sometimes has elements of humor or irony. But there is an echo in the soul of those who see my work interesting or at least attractive – regardless of age. Ie, the question is, will the viewer something in tune with and close to themselves, or, say, corresponding to his artistic and aesthetic views-preferences. And age here not the determining factor. As you know, "someone who likes watermelon, who then pork hryaschik..."
Who or what inspires You?
  • To put it simply, probably, in General, to create something beautiful encourages the actual BEAUTY – the beauty of nature, the beauty of music, beautiful and intelligent literature, human beauty, interesting and spiritual communion. That is all that can fill a man with inner joy. Here is the inner joy and inspiration...
